Louisville Science Center records 1958-1985.

A collection of files dealing with the movement of the Louisville Science Center from its site at Fifth and York to Main Street ncluding discussion of locating near the Louisville Zoo. These records include those from this same body under three previous names, the Natural History Museum (1871-1977), the Museum of Natural History and Science (1977-1985) and the Museum of History and Science (1985-1991). The body was renamed the Louisville Science Center in 1991. The Filson Historical Society's proposal to take over the museum in the early 1980's and pamphlets and annual reports from other similar museums in the United States are included in the collection.
